DRAFT REFUND + CANCELLATION POLICY

Clear cancellation windows before checkout.

Proposed effective date: when the first paid offer opens. The exact policy shown at checkout will control that purchase.

Draft for Chase and legal/finance approval. No checkout should rely on it until approved.

01

Seven or more calendar days before the start

Request cancellation in writing for a refund of tuition paid, less any clearly disclosed nonrecoverable transaction costs or materials already ordered specifically for the participant.

02

Three to six calendar days before the start

Choose either a 50% tuition refund or, when RootNode offers it, a transfer or account credit for an eligible future offering. Nonrecoverable materials may be deducted when disclosed.

03

Less than 72 hours, after the start, or no-show

Tuition is normally nonrefundable. RootNode may offer a case-by-case credit for documented emergencies, but a credit is not guaranteed.

04

Missed sessions

Participant absences do not automatically produce prorated refunds. Makeups, recordings, transfers, or alternate work are offered only when the specific program can support them.

05

RootNode cancellation or material change

If RootNode cancels an offering and cannot provide an acceptable reschedule or transfer, the purchaser may choose a full refund of amounts paid for the cancelled offering. If minimum enrollment is not met, RootNode may cancel or reschedule using this same remedy.

06

How to request

Email admissions@rootnodeacademy.com from the purchaser’s email address with participant name, offering, and requested remedy. The received timestamp determines the cancellation window.

07

Processing

Approved refunds return to the original payment method when possible. Bank or provider posting time is outside RootNode’s control. Any different offer-specific rule must be clearly disclosed before purchase.
